Lou's pizzas are made according to the family's original five-decade-old deep dish pizza recipe. All pizzas are hand-made from scratch, baked, and quickly frozen to preserve their hot-out-of-the-oven freshness.

Package Contents

Two 9-inch Lou Malnati's deep dish pizzas (each pizza serves two adults)

Pizzas available: Cheese, Gluten Free Cheese*, Sausage, Gluten Free Sausage*, Pepperoni, Gluten Free Pepperoni*, Veggie (mushroom, onion & green pepper), Spinach, and Crustless (Gluten Free made with a lean sausage base).

*There is a $2 upcharge per gluten free deep dish pizza. Lou Malnati's gluten free deep dish pizzas are tested and confirmed to be gluten free, but processed in a facility that uses wheat. Crust is made from a blend of rice flour, potato starch, pea fiber, tapioca starch, and xanthan gum (may contain almond and coconut). Crust contains egg.

If your pizzas are still frozen when they arrive or are cool to the touch, place them in the freezer and bake them within 90 days.

For the ultimate pizza, bake from a frozen state according to the following instructions:
Preheat oven to 425 degrees. Remove lid and lift pizza out of the pan. Wipe away condensation from the pan and lightly oil the pan. Return pizza to the pan and bake on the middle rack until cheese melts and crust becomes crispy and golden brown. Baking times vary for each type of pizza and length of bake time is indicated on the lid of each pizza. If the pizza has thawed decrease bake time by 5 minutes. Microwave cooking is not recommended.

Lou Deserves to be Nominated for Sainthood

That's how unbelievable your Deep Dish pizza is, The Lou to be exact. I'm a Los Angeles native but began a lifelong love affair with deep dish pizza as a teenager when visiting my sister who went to grad school there. Last time I visited, my sister's friend and L.A. transplant told me where to go to scratch my Chicago pizza itch. Without question, The Lou Deep Dish pizza was in the top three pizzas I've experienced in my 48 years.

    Favorite pizza ever

We received 3 pizzas from a friend who lives in Chicago, and we baked the sausage deep dish tonight. It was so delicious!! The crust is almost like a pie crust but crunchier. Sooo good. Then there is a layer of mozzarella on top of that, then a thick layer of quality sausage, then a lot of homemade tomatoe sauce on top! It is the best pizza that I have ever had! I will order more in the future. It's worth the price, which includes shipping.

    Frozen Pizzas

It's great that you offer Gluten Free pizzas for shipping, but why not some of the others, like The Lou? I'd order 6 of them tomorrow for shipping. Frozen cheese, sausage and pepperoni don't cut it.

    Overpriced and not worth it?

I've followed their recipe from scratch and it's still NOT quite the same. Good Luck Joanne. You probably like the cardboard pizza with ketchup.

    Joanne's review

Joanne, if you can make a deep dish pizza like Lou's for $8, I'll buy 100 of them from you. Ha Ha #goodluck #lousisthebest

    The Lou

The Lou is the only pizza we like. Why do you only offer it periodically?

    Pizza

Got these as a present. The pizza is delicious so I came to the website to order some more. Then I saw that it's $76 for two 9-inch pizzas. Really?! $38 for a 9-inch frozen pizza? I can't process that.
