Vienna Beef's all-beef hot dog, nestled in a poppy seed bun, and loaded with toppings is a flavor combination that can't be beat! But remember the number one rule: Chicagoans don't add ketchup. Ever.

This Vienna Beef Hot Dog Kit includes:

  • 10 Vienna hot dogs
  • 10 poppy seed buns
  • 9 oz. of yellow mustard
  • 6 oz. of bright green relish
  • 6 oz. of spicy sport peppers
  • Celery salt
Cooking the hot dogs:
-Fill a 4-quart pot with one and a half quarts of water (48 ounces).
-Bring the water to a boil, turn the water down until it stops boiling, or a slight simmer. (DO NOT COOK HOT DOGS IN BOILING WATER).
-Place desired number of hot dogs into water and cook uncovered for 20 minutes.

Steam the hot dog buns:
-Do not steam buns until hot dogs have cooked for 20 minutes
-Place package of hot dog buns into a microwave. (If fewer buns are desired, put them into a plastic bag and loosely close bag)
-Heat buns on high for 2 to 2 ½ minutes. (If fewer buns are desired, heat for 45-60 seconds)
-Be cautious when opening, escaping steam and hot dog buns will be extremely hot.

Nestle the hot dog in a steamed poppy seed bun. Then pile on the toppings in this order:

1) Yellow Mustard
2) Bright Green Relish
3) Fresh Chopped Onion*
4) Two Tomato Wedges*
5) A Kosher Pickle Spear*
6) Two Sport Peppers
7) A Dash of Celery Salt

    Yummy in the tummy..

    The competition for family during a birthday celebration for pops was between the Chicago style dog and the ny Coney island. 18 members of the family participated. Your vienna dogs were matched against Nathan's dogs...Great fun ... thankyou. (Cubs vs Yankees ) (Vienna vs Nathan's). :flushed:

    Vienna dogs

    The Vienna brand franks are terrific - probably the best dog I've ever tasted. The Rosen buns are fine. I dislike that the peppers and relish were frozen and repackaged. I would like them to be in their original package.

    Amazing

    Our order was for my dad in Florida. Ordered it in plenty of time for his bday. To come on his bday. Well our order got held up and by the time it would arrive it would be spoiled and it was. I called once I saw it was delayed. They sent another one the same day for next day delivery at no charge to us. He didn’t get it on his bday but got it the next day. He was so thrilled. The original one arrived three days after the replacement. Taste of Chicago really made up for the late shipping. Thanks so much.

    Dog were great

    Buns were ok , it was a good time but the buns were a little heavy or too thick not what I was used to, they have to be steamed and be sure to add slice of dill to the Chicago dog , we were happy with the quick delivery .
