Vienna Beef's all-beef hot dog, nestled in a poppy seed bun, and loaded with toppings is a flavor combination that can't be beat! But remember the number one rule: Chicagoans don't add ketchup. Ever.

This Vienna Beef Hot Dog Kit includes:

  • 10 Vienna hot dogs
  • 10 poppy seed buns
  • 9 oz. of yellow mustard
  • 6 oz. of bright green relish
  • 6 oz. of spicy sport peppers
  • Celery salt
Cooking the hot dogs:
-Fill a 4-quart pot with one and a half quarts of water (48 ounces).
-Bring the water to a boil, turn the water down until it stops boiling, or a slight simmer. (DO NOT COOK HOT DOGS IN BOILING WATER).
-Place desired number of hot dogs into water and cook uncovered for 20 minutes.

Steam the hot dog buns:
-Do not steam buns until hot dogs have cooked for 20 minutes
-Place package of hot dog buns into a microwave. (If fewer buns are desired, put them into a plastic bag and loosely close bag)
-Heat buns on high for 2 to 2 ½ minutes. (If fewer buns are desired, heat for 45-60 seconds)
-Be cautious when opening, escaping steam and hot dog buns will be extremely hot.

Nestle the hot dog in a steamed poppy seed bun. Then pile on the toppings in this order:

1) Yellow Mustard
2) Bright Green Relish
3) Fresh Chopped Onion*
4) Two Tomato Wedges*
5) A Kosher Pickle Spear*
6) Two Sport Peppers
7) A Dash of Celery Salt

    Great Chicago dogs enjoyed in GA

    We were treated to a Chicago dog kit (and two Malnati pizzas) from our Chicago office. The food came still very cold with plenty of dry ice left. Not totally frozen, but not nearly thawed either. The pizza was wonderful and the dogs were great! If I had any complaints, they would only be that the dog kit could have had relish and hot peppers that came in containers like the celery salt and mustard. And the pictures on the website show tomato slices, diced onion, and a pickle wedge. Those items did not come with the dogs. :-( Otherwise, a great meal! Thanks!

    the packaged arrived perfectly packed with everything you will need except the tomatoes slices and understandable so.Everyone loved them. The buns really rocked. We can't find them here in TX
